Photograph of a British cemetery near Sevastopol. The gravestones, of different shapes and sizes, are arranged in a group with most of the inscriptions clearly visible. There is a wooden barrel and a tin box on the ground and a stone wall behind the graves.
Before they left the Crimea in 1856 the British created a number of cemeteries on the sites where regiments had camped during the Siege of Sevastopol.
