Photograph of Lieutenant-Colonel Lauderdale Maule seated facing partly right with his arms folded over his chest. He is wearing civilian clothes. This photograph, printed by Jabez Hughes in 1883, is a carbon print pasted over the original photograph.

Lieutenant-Colonel Maule held the position of Surveyor-General of Ordnance during the Crimean War. He died of cholera during the conflict.
