A lithograph after a painting by Raphael (1506) now in the Galleria Palatina, Palazzo Pitti, Florence (inv.1912, n.61); in reverse. The painting entered the Galleria Palatina in 1826, terminus post-quem for the execution of this print which, according to lettering below image, was made when the painting was already in the Galleria Palatina. Nagler (XI, 1841) dated the engraving 1829.
