A photograph of a drawing now in the Devonshire Collection, Chatsworth House (inv. no.725). The female figure on the left is a copy after Raphael's 'Saint Catherine of Alexandria', a painting currently in the National Gallery, London (inv. no.NG 168). The maiden with the pitcher is after a study by Ghirlandaio now in the Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe degli Uffizi, Florence (inv. no.289E), made by the master for the fresco of the 'Birth of the Virgin' in Santa Maria Novella, Florence.
