Draft letter from Queen Victoria to Lord Derby acknowledging receipt of his letter regarding the prospects of the Reform Bill. The Queen believes that if the County franchise had been maintained at £20, and the Boroughs had been put at £6, then the bill would have passed. The Queen also states that a change of government would go against the best interests of the country. Written in the Prince Consort's hand.
