Letter from Prince Albert to Lord John Russell reporting that Lord Stanley had resigned the task of forming a government and as a result, the Prince states that all possible combinations have failed. Prince Albert writes that the Queen hopes that the reasons for these failures will be explained in Parliament the following day and that she will be able to pause the process of forming an administration until after the debate.
