Queen Victoria refers to Colonel Wylde and discusses Portugal and the change in policy and language of the Miguelites and Sunta towards each other. She mentions Mr Southern with reference to the Portuguese officers taken prisoner at Torres Vedras and also the lack of assistance from the English government towards the Queen of Portugal.
